MV News: Winners Of The 8th Annual Grazia Style Awards Announced At Glittering Black-Tie Event

The winners of the Grazia Style Awards 2014 were announced last night March 25th during a truly spectacular show held at the MusicHall, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.The event, which was presented in association with Jigsaw, the international luxury fashion clothing retailer, was hosted by celebrated British designer Giles Deacon and talented 'Made In Chelsea' star Amber Atherton and was attended by the region’s fashion industry leaders, retailers, designers, models, celebrities and media. 

The most coveted awards were received by Dima Ayad, Best Regional Designer and Marc Jacobs, Best International Designer; whilst Chanel – a double winner - was awarded Best International Accessories Designer and Best Luxury Fashion Brand and Nathalie Trad was named Best Regional Accessories Designer.

Giuseppe Zanotti scooped the award for Best Luxury Shoe Brand. Zara and Tory Burch also got top marks, as Best High Street Shoe Brand and Best Contemporary Shoe Brand, respectively.  

This year the Grazia Style Awards 2014 winners were selected by public voting alongside a panel of industry experts that included Emily Johnston, founder of the hugely popular style blog Fashion Foie Gras; alongside Elaine Lloyd Jones, editor of Grazia Luxury; up and coming British designer Ashley Williams; and Ahlan! 100 trendsetter Bong Guerrero. 

The panel considered the rapidly maturing local shopping scene and the developments in the industry further afield and acknowledged the following: Sophie's Closet, Best Regional Online Retailer; Reema Al Banna & Mawaheb, Fashion Collaboration; Nadya Hassan, Most Stylish Reader; Lyla Loves Fashion, Best Blogger; ArAm, Emerging Talent and Mahani, Best Boutique.

Top accolades were also received by H&M, Best High Street Fashion Brand; Karen Millen, Best Bridge Fashion Brand; and McQ Alexander McQueen, Best Contemporary Fashion Brand.

MV News: The Countdown Begins To The 2014 Grazia Style Awards - British Designer Giles Deacon To Play Host

The stage is set for the top 3 brands, designers, boutiques and bloggers across 17 categories to vie for the top spot at the Grazia Style Awards, the celeb-studded annual fashion extravaganza taking place on Tuesday, March 25th at the Music Hall, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.

Now in it's 8th year, the event - which brings together the region's fashion elite to toast the finest and the most influential individuals in the industry - is presented in association with Jigsaw, the international luxury fashion clothing retailer, and is hosted by feted British designer Giles Deacon.  

A gifted and versatile designer, universally credited with injecting high-octane glamour into British fashion, Giles Deacon came into the spotlight at London Fashion Week A/W 2004.He was an instant hit and subsequently featured in the American, British, Japanese, Italian and French Vogue, as well as in W, Harper's Bazaar, POP and i-D; bought by retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges and bestowed upon numerous industry accolades: 'Best New Designer' at the British Fashion Awards (2004), 'Best New Designer' by Elle magazine (2005), and 'British Designer of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards (2006).

This year the Awards have put together a panel of industry experts that includes Emily Johnston, founder of the hugely popular style blog Fashion Foie Gras; alongside Elaine Lloyd Jones, editor of Grazia Luxury; up and coming British designer Ashley Williams; and Ahlan! 100 trendsetter Bong Guerrero; together with Grazia readers they helped shortlist the nominees in the 6 panel categories. 

Voting for the Grazia Style Awards 2014 is open to public who can still cast their vote for the top three favourites until March 23 through www.graziastyleawards.com.

In addition to regular categories, such as Best Designer and Most Stylish Reader, this year the Awards looked at the rapidly maturing local shopping scene and the developments in the industry further afield to introduce new categories for Best Regional Online Retailer, Best Regional Accessories Designer and Fashion Collaboration.There’s also a more comprehensive breakdown of the fashion brands.The Grazia Awards have put together a panel of industry experts that includes Emily Johnston – founder of the hugely popular style blog Fashion Foie Gras, alongside Elaine Lloyd Jones, editor of Grazia Luxury, and up and coming designer Ashley Williams, who will help determine the winners in the 17 categories, alongside Grazia readers.The celebrity hosts and special guests at the Awards ceremony will be announced shortly.

Voting for the Grazia Style Awards 2014 is open to public who can cast their vote for their favourites until March 23 through www.graziastyleawards.com.All voters will automatically enter a prize draw, held on March 18, to win a luxury getaway for two to London, including Virgin Atlantic flights, hotel accommodation and a designer shopping spree from Harrods.
