MV News: Versace Introduces The New L. Signature Bag


Versace announced a new member of the iconic Signature bag family – the L.Signature.The Signature bag is the essence of Versace, eternally defined by the Medusa, and now renewed with fresh details and materials for spring/summer 2015.

The leather of the L.Signature is laser-cut to create a graphic new lightness, lined with transparent PVC for full functionality.The bold and graphic statement from artistic director Donatella Versace reflects the themes of her Spring/Summer 2015 catwalk show, where the L.Signature made it's debut.

The L.Signature comes in classic black, as well as Versace's colours for Spring/Summer 2015 such as white, light blue and pink.It will be available in three different sizes – mini, small and large - and comes in both calf skin, and patent leather.

MV News: Create Your Own Caroline Seikaly Dress


Caroline Seikaly, the breakout Lebanese designer who worked under the guidance of Christian Lacroix and Karl Lagerfeld and quickly shot to fame with the creation of a signature lace dress, has launched her first online program whereby ladies can custom make their own version of the coveted lace dress.

The dress, which was originally designed by Caroline for herself in 2009, was made famous when Madonna wore it at a Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York City.It was also worn by several other celebs, including Hayden Panettiere, who wore it on national TV in the USA, and Mila Kunis, for whom it was redesigned and worn in the film, “Black Swan.”In 2012, the dress landed on the cover of French Elle magazine, worn by the beautiful Lea Seydoux.

Since then, this timeless “It” dress has been spotted on a number of other celebrities, A-list couture clients and even brides, all of whom have chosen different versions and colors of the lace dress for public appearances, concerts, premieres, photo shoots and weddings.

Still a favorite with the fashion pack, the ongoing demands for this timeless dress is what gave Caroline the idea to launch an interactive program. MV News: Ciaté Names Olivia Palermo As Guest Creative Director For 2015


Ciaté, the London beauty brand that revolutionised nail art, has announced the appointment of Olivia Palermo as it's Guest Creative Director for 2015.The collaboration will see the style icon creating four limited edition collections for the brand, all of which are set to be stocked at Sephora stores globally.

MV News: Disney Enlists Nine Global Luxury Shoe Designers To Reimagine Cinderella's Glass Slipper


In celebration of the release of Disney's live action film inspired by the classic fairy tale “Cinderella,” Disney Consumer Products (DCP) has collaborated with nine luxury designer shoe brands across the globe to assemble an enchanting collection of shoes that reimagine Cinderella's iconic glass slipper.The distinguished designers, in alphabetical order, are: Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman, Rene Caovilla, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Jerome C. Rousseau, and Stuart Weitzman.Each brand has created it's own interpretation of the famed glass slipper Cinderella accidentally leaves behind when the clock strikes midnight.

“Cinderella's glass slipper has become a magical symbol of transformation,” said Didier Vanneste, SVP & Country head MENA from The Walt Disney Company.“Each pair of shoes in this exciting global collection captures Cinderella's elegance and grace through the lens of celebrated designers, making this shoe collection truly fit for a princess.”

Swarovski, which produced the iconic glass slipper for the film under the direction of Academy Award winning costume designer Sandy Powell, provided the crystals featured in the designers' shoes.

MV News: Versace Presents An Exclusive Edition Of The New Via Gesù Sofa


Versace presents an exclusive limited version of it's new iconic Via Gesù family, the style debuted at this year's Salone del Mobile.The Atelier edition of the Via Gesù sofa has been upholstered in luxurious black and white leather, with gold metal finishes.

At the heart of the sofa is the V of Versace, from the V stitching at the back, to the sloping angle of the arms.The arms, trimmed in gold metal, are each highlighted by a gold metal Medusa head.The base of the sofa is also in gold metal.

This special edition of the Via Gesù sofa is exclusively available in the Versace Home Boutique on Via Borgospesso, Milan.

MV News: Sarah Jessica Parker & Cindy Chao Co-Design A ''Ballerina Butterfly'' Brooch To Be Sold By Sotheby's Hong Kong


Contemporary fine jewelry artist Cindy Chao, globally recognized for her intricate designs of rare, colorful gemstones, has collaborated with actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist Sarah Jessica Parker on a singular jewelry creation.The 2014 Black Label Masterpiece “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch (Est. HK$6 – 7 million / US$750,000 – 950,000), co-designed by Chao and Parker, will be auctioned at Sotheby's Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite Sale on 7 October.Net proceeds from it's sale will benefit the New York City Ballet.

The Black Label “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch was completed with heart and soul over the course of two years, during which Parker and Chao held several design meetings, reviewed sketches, wax models and gemstones together.Chao began the creation process by building a wax model of the piece, as she does with all of her Black Label Masterpiece creations.The “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch melds together Chao's craftsmanship as one of the jewelry world's premier artists along with Parker’s discerning eye for style and design.

The resulting creation is the 2014 Black Label Masterpiece “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch, constructed of a titanium and 18-karat gold body, featuring a cushion-cut fancy brown diamond weighing 26.27 carats, three rough brown diamond slices weighing 47.71 carats in total, three pieces of conch pearls weighing 7.25 carats in total, surrounded by 4,698 diamonds and fancy-colored diamonds weighing 98.09 carats in total, completing the majesty of the Black Label Masterpiece Butterfly.The “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch is inspired by the graceful beauty and elegance of ballet, displaying the sensibility, delicate structure, strength and mellifluous movement exhibited within a ballerina.The brooch can be worn either right-side up or upside-down to create two silhouettes of exceptional splendor.   

The “Ballerina Butterfly” brooch made its debut during Haute Couture week in Paris, July 7-10.It will travel throughout Asia before going to New York, where Chao and Parker will serve as Co-Chairs of the New York City Ballet's Fall Gala on September 23, 2014.The brooch will then return to Hong Kong in October, prior to the auction.

MV News: Salvatore Ferragamo Opens New Boutique In Kuwait


Salvatore Ferragamo, one of the world's most renowned luxury brands, is pleased to announce the opening of a Ferragamo boutique in Kuwait City.The boutique is situated in the prestigious Al Hamra Tower, a mall for international brands, including several luxury labels.Strategically located at the gates to the city's commercial centre, the tower is an icon of Kuwait City's commercial business district.

The boutique offers all Salvatore Ferragamo product lines: RTW and leather accessories, eyewear, watches, perfumes and, for the first time in Kuwait, Ferragamo Jewels.The jewellery line was launched in late 2011 in Europe, and Kuwait City is the third location to sell Ferragamo Jewels in the Middle East, where the brand boasts a total of 12 stores.

MV News: Misahara Makes It's Debut In The UAE


Misahara, the bespoke jewelry collection predominantly inspired by the homesteads of Africa, drawing subtle influences from the global fashion catwalks of New York City, Paris, Milan, Rome and Belgrade has announced the launch of its brand in the MENA region, with Dubai as its first stop.
