Out & About: Mayrig Opens On The Boulevard


Famous Armenian restaurant from Beirut, Mayrig opened in Dubai last night with great fanfare. Attended by Dubai’s haute society and pillars of the Armenian community, the opening was a glittering affair. 

Mayrig which means Grandmother in Armenian, takes pride of place on the boulevard in a building of its own.The entire restaurant as well as the popular terrace was a buzz with glamorous guests enjoying the delicious Armenian fare.

Mayrig’s menu consists of famous, traditional recipes which have been handed down through many generations. Armenian favourites such as Sou Beureg, Fishnah kebab, lentil salad, Mante, and the world famous cheese Maamoul dessert are some of the star dishes that feature on the menu.With Mayrig comes a new and exciting addition to the Dubai restaurant scene, the first restaurant to offer authentic Armenian cuisine in the city where a sensory burst of tastes and flavors await diners in the homely space.
